Acrimonious Soul

Lurking within your soul is the manifestation of torment and vengeance. You feel its pull on you as you sleep and always pray the morning would come all the sooner.

Catalyst

In some effort to reduce its own constant rage and suffering, a god-like apparition has either directly cursed you or has made some form of bartering.

Manifestations

Chained Soul

Your soul is bound to your body, which you swiftly discover upon death.

Gift
Your soul remains tied to your body for up to a month after death, allowing all forms of resurrection to bring you back.
As a soulbound spirit, you gain a melee touch attack that deals 1d10 points of damage per manifestation level you have. A creature touched this way must make a Fortitude save of 10 + 1/2 HD + Will Modifier or lose 1 ability point of your choice. If you accrue 10 ability points within the first hour of death, you automatically return to your body with 50% health and gain an additional manifestation point. After this first hour you must accrue 30 ability points upon which you will be affected by the Resurrection spell.
Attacks against your killer deal 2d10 points of damage per manifestation level and the ability points drained are equal to twice your manifestation level.
Stain
After a month of death, your soul becomes forever unreachable as your soul becomes hopelessly entangled with the apparation that placed this curse upon you.

Soulsense

Gift
You may use a Perception check to identify the alignment of any creature up to your HD. The DC is 20 + the target’s HD.
Stain
You make yourself vulnerable to the immaterial and gain a -2 AC versus ghost-like attacks.

Endless Nightmares

Gift
You can pull forth the shadows of your sleep to gain a +6 to Intimidate checks to your opponents.
Stain
The nightmares torment you every night, forcing you to make a Will save with a DC of 15 + 2 x Manifestation level upon each rest.

Claw of Shadow

Gift
You may imbue your attacks, whether natural or manufactured, with a 1d8+manifestation level Profane damage bonus up to 2 x your Manifesation level
Stain
Upon each use of these claws, you must make a Will save with a DC of 10 + 2 x Manifestation level to avoid becoming overwhelmed by the shadows that haunt you. Upon failure you become confused for 1d6 rounds.

Cloak of Night

Gift
You may choose as a swift action to manifest your illusory nightmares as if using the Blur spell up to your Manifestation level times per day.
Stain
All others see the darkness within you, causing a -4 to Diplomacy checks and a -2 to Will saves to resist mind-affecting spells.
