Anitou
The Anitou are the mystical first people of Kab, yet most have either so mingled with the Pentarexians that they have lost their mystical heritage but for the faintest sense of difference or they have retreated far the south into the spirit jungles which exist as some sort of mysterious plane that crosses with this one, existing in both. There are a few, however, who seek to bring balance back to the world and have traveled by will of spirits greater than them to fellowship with the other races who will believe in a common cause, for the possibility of darker times lurks threateningly on the horizon. These are the Skinshifters who commune with nature for the gift of its power and protection and know the art of taking on other forms.

Standard Racial Traits
- Ability Score Racial Traits: Anitou are a wise and charismatic people, although somewhat weaker in physical prowess. They gain +2 Wisdom, +2 Charisma, and -2 Strength.
- Size: Anitou are Medium creatures and thus receive no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
- Type: Anitou are humanoids with the Anitou subtype.
- Base Speed: Anitou have a base speed of 30 feet.
- Languages: Anitou begin play speaking Common and Anitou Whisper. Anitou with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following: High Pentarexian, Narpaca, Hatun, Phage-speak, Nupi.
Racial Traits
- Darkvision: 60 ft
- Eternal Hope: +2 racial bonus on saving throws against fear and despair effects. Once per day, after rolling a 1 on a d20, the Anitou may reroll and use the second result
- Gregarious: Once per day, when you attempt a Diplomacy check to improve a creature’s attitude toward you, you may choose to reroll the check after the first roll is made but before the results are revealed. You must take the second result, even if it is worse.
- Silent Hunter: Reduce the penalty for using Stealth while moving by 5 and can make Stealth checks while running at a -20 penalty (this number includes the penalty reduction from this racial trait.
- Camouflage: +4 racial bonus on Stealth checks in jungles and forested areas.
